The Egyptian Ministry of Interior stated in a statement, on Tuesday morning, that the competent authorities had managed to arrest the suspect in the killing of a retired female employee in the city of Damanhour, Buhaira Governorate, who was known by the title “Our Lady of Goodness.”

And the statement continued: “By conducting investigations and collecting information, the Public Security Sector, with the participation of the Buhaira Security Directorate, was able to conclude that behind the commission of the incident was a driver, a resident of the Damanhour Police Station,” according to the newspaper.Egyptian today“.
He added: “After legalizing the procedures, he was seized and confronted with him, he confessed to committing the incident and admitted that he used to take the victim to deliver her to charitable societies, where she took the car with him … to deliver it to one of the charitable societies that frequent it to distribute alms money. .
And the statement added: “Then he neglected her and assaulted her with an iron bar, which led to her death, and following that he deliberately dumped her body where it was found and seized her belongings.”
For his part, Muhammad Abdo, the victim’s son, said in televised statements to the “Last Word” program with the media, Lamees Al-Hadidi, that the driver had betrayed his mother “following her benevolence” to him over the course of 8 months, in exchange for a small amount and simple gold jewelry.
And he added, “She only had 2,000 Egyptian pounds ($90) that she was on her way to give to an orphan bride.”
He continued, “The killer borrowed 5,000 Egyptian pounds ($202) from my mother, and he returned it to her in installments of 1,000, then 1,000, and I left him (forgive him) the rest.”
For her part, the victim’s daughter said, “Her mother used to work at the Directorate of Social Affairs in Buhaira Governorate, and despite her retirement two years ago, she did not stop going to work to help people and meet their needs.”
Thousands had participated in the funeral of the body of “Our Lady of Goodness”, who was known for her many charitable works in her city and in the Buhaira governorate, especially with regard to helping poor families to meet many of their needs in treatment, marriage, study, and the restoration and repair of homes.
