Khadeeja, the eldest daughter of music director AR Rahman, got engaged on December 29. The groom is Riyazdeen Sheikh Mohammed, a sound engineer. The ceremony was held in the presence of close relatives and friends, following Kovid restrictions. Khadeeja and Riyazdeen have shared pictures of their engagement on social media.
Khadeeja, who appears in public wearing a burqa, did not break the routine in her engagement. Khadeeja covered her face with a mask that matched the dress she wore to the ceremony. Simple make-up, matching jewelry, necklace and henna made Khadeeja look unique.
Khadeeja had said that wearing a burqa in public was a matter of freedom and that she was proud of her decision.
