On the Trevignano lakeside, the “action” is for eighteen-year-old Beatrice Scintu. A Roman from Montagnola, the towering girl wins the historic Miss Cinema Roma 2024 sash: the tenth stop on the Lazio tour of the Miss Italia competition, which allows access to the pre-finals of the 85th and famous beauty contest. An exceptional granddaughter, with her paternal grandmother being the sister of Renato Zero, Scintu wins the special sash for this date, included in the second stop of the “Lazio, the beauty of Talent 2024” event, which highlights local landscapes but also young people who have chosen to undertake a training course in various artistic sectors. And out of all 17 competitors, this girl with brown hair and green eyes stands out, who is preparing for the architecture test at Roma Tre, with a hobby in theater and the dream of becoming an actress. In the front row is the mother Anna Risplendente, truly enthusiastic.
To deliver her sash and crown, two exceptional godmothers: the last two Miss Italia del Lazio, Martina Sambucini (2020) and Lavinia Abate (2022). And before the proclamation, the competitors perform in various fashion scenes, proposing on the catwalk some garments from the Maiani Accademia Moda and dresses inspired by the film “Barbie”. They then present themselves to the jury, wearing the classic competition body, with a short performance that highlights the various personalities, essential for winning the coveted title. In the footsteps of great divas of yesterday, such as Gina Lollobrigida and Sophia Loren and, in more recent times, Miriam Leone, Francesca Chillemi and Giusy Buscemi. And Scintu strikes with a monologue on dyslexia, starting from her experience. «A problem – says the new queen – underestimated and sometimes ignored». Success for the performances of two talents of the Officina delle Arti Pier Paolo Pasolini: the singer-songwriter Carlo Valente and the actress Martina Colaprico. The evening is presented by Margherita Praticò and directed by Mario Gori. Guests include Evelyne Biagioli, Miss Cinema 2023, and Greta Caretta, Miss Cinema Lazio 2024. The jury also includes Patrizia Vacalebri, fashion journalist, Maria Maiani, founder of the Maiani Accademia e Moda, and Luca Mastrangelo, film producer. And the dream is ever closer.
