Asunción, IP Agency.- The “Sumá Liters, Sumá Vida” blood donation campaign aims to unite efforts between companies in the financial sector in a common cause: saving lives through blood donation. The initiative seeks to guarantee a permanent supply of blood nationwide.

In a joint effort to promote solidarity and save lives, various companies in the country join the “Suma Liters, Suma Vida” campaign, with the aim of carrying out the largest blood drive in the corporate sphere. This initiative is supported by the Ministry of Public Health through the National Blood Donation Program.

The alliance agreement for this campaign was signed the day before in the conference room of the Risk Management Company (Carsa), with the presence of the director of the National Blood Program, Dr. Carolina Molas, and the general manager of Carsa, Pedro Espinola.

This event marks the official launch of the blood donation campaign, which begins with Carsa on October 11, expecting a high participation of its collaborators to reach the goal of 150 donors.

In addition, other companies are expected to join this noble cause, contributing to increasing the number of regular donors and guaranteeing a constant supply of safe blood for the country.

The campaign invites companies from all over the country to join this solidarity initiative, which not only strengthens the health system, but also promotes a positive impact on the community.

Dr. Molas highlighted the importance of uniting the work with various sectors, including the financial sector, and that this allows the necessary blood to reach all Paraguayans. For this reason, we work on the blood network that grew over the years and with the joint work between the Ministry of Public Health, IPS, UNA Faculty of Medicine and the private sector.

He indicated that, although there is infrastructure for the donation process and also for the study of the blood that is transfused, without donors it will not be possible to carry out the work.

«Without the help of citizens we are not going to achieve it, that is why we are looking for voluntary donors, who do it with conscience; “It is doing good without looking at who,” said director Molas.

For his part, the general manager of Carsa, Pedro Espínola, stated that this is an opportunity to bring together the entire financial sector for a common cause, the intention of the campaign being to add 25 companies with 1,000 donors between October and December.
