BCB won’t allow IPL if there are international commitments: Shakib

Shakib Al Hasan, the biggest superstar of Bangladesh cricket, has made rule breaking. On Saturday, Walton participated in the Dhaka Premier League match and left the field without finishing the game.

Shakib took to the field in the sixth round of the league in Mohammedan’s jersey. He returned to Dhaka from Chittagong last night following finishing the national team game. Went to BKSP early this morning. However, Shakib was out of sorts with the bat-ball. But it was in his presence that Mohammedan got their first win in the league.

Having completed his bowling quota overs, Shakib left the field when the team was on the verge of victory. He quickly returned to Dhaka by helicopter without seeing the victory of the team.

Shakib was busy attending the launch event of the new model of motorcycle company Yamaha. Just before the iftar, Shakib unveiled the motorbike in a light-filled ceremony.

There is a discussion regarding cricket. Of course, Shakib’s participation in the IPL raises questions.

Shakib sought a no-objection letter from the board to play the entire IPL season. Not only Shakib but also his Kolkata teammate Liton wanted to play the entire IPL season. But because of the international series, the board did not give them a no-objection letter. Both would have been in India now had it not been for the Test series once morest Ireland.

It is understood by Shakib’s words that he accepted the board’s decision, ‘When the Indian Cricket Board wants to know when I can play, whether I am available full time or not. Like the NOC at that time, they were told when they might play. There was, BCB will not allow when we have international commitments. That’s how BCB did it, that’s how we got NOC.’

The BCB’s email to the BCCI said, ‘The players selected for the Ireland series in the IPL will be open from April 8 to May 1.’ Shakib and Liton received 24-day NOC. Mostafiz has not played Test for more than 8 days. Mostafiz issue also comes up in Shakib’s words.

‘If Mostafiz had got a place in the Test team, he might have had to stay. Fortunately or unfortunately, since he is not in the Test team, he has been able to go first.’ Mostafiz was flown by Delhi Capitals on a chartered flight this morning but did not play.

The Test once morest Ireland will start on April 4 in Mirpur. Shakib and Liton can join the IPL following the Test match.
