In March, exports to Russia amounted to 84.3 million euros. The reduction was most affected by a decrease in exports of machinery and mechanical devices by 16.2 million euros, or 82.3%.

Imports from Russia during this period amounted to 40.9 million euros. The reduction was mainly affected by a drop in imports of mineral products by 14.5 million euros, or 63.7%.

Exports to Belarus decreased by 4.2% and amounted to 12.5 million euros. The reduction was mainly affected by a drop in exports of mechanisms and mechanical devices by 0.9 million euros, or 73.8%.

Imports from Belarus decreased by 4.1% and amounted to 17.2 million euros. The decrease in imports from Belarus was also most affected by the decrease in imports of mechanisms and mechanical devices by 0.6 million euros, or 40.3%.

Exports to Ukraine in March decreased by 49.1% and amounted to 20.9 million euros. The decline was mainly affected by a drop in exports of mineral products of 8.1 million euros, or 91.4%.

Imports from Ukraine decreased by 14.9% and amounted to 21.9 million euros. The reduction was mainly influenced by a drop in imports of plant-based products by EUR 1.4 million, or 46%.

As reported, in 2023, Latvia imported goods from Russia with a total value of 606.618 million euros, which is three times less than a year earlier, and from Belarus – worth 173.4 million euros, which is 41.8% less.

At the same time, last year Latvia exported goods worth 1.124 billion euros to Russia, which is 6.2% less than in 2022, and the value of goods exported to Belarus decreased by 7.5% – to 170.272 million euros.

Last year, Latvia exported goods totaling 18.943 billion euros, which is 11.2%, or 2.39 billion euros less than in 2022, and imported goods worth 23.196 billion euros, which is 12.5% ​​less. or by 3.3 billion euros.
