The Indonesian National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) collaborates with local institutions in Gaza, Althouri Woman Center (AWC) to distribute food and water to Palestinian refugees in Rafah, southern Gaza, during Ramadan 1445 H.
Chairman of BAZNAS RI Noor Achmad expressed his gratitude because BAZNAS was able to distribute ready-to-eat food aid worth 126,000 US Dollars (around Rp. 2 billion) to Rafah, southern Gaza.
“Thank God, BAZNAS food and water assistance can be received by the people of Rafah Gaza. It is hoped that this assistance will help the Muslims there during the Ramadan fast,” Noor said in an official statement received today, Saturday (30/3)
Kiai Noor expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the cooperation and collaboration from the AWC institution, which made it possible for the aid to reach Palestinian refugees in Rafah, Gaza Salatan.
“We also thank the donors, who have set aside some of their fortune to help the Palestinian people who are experiencing difficulties,” said Kiai Noor.
He added, “Moreover, this is during the Ramadan fast. May Allah’s blessings be abundant on all donors and all parties who help so that this aid can reach the Palestinian people who need it.”
Kiai Noor emphasized that BAZNAS RI ensures that the distribution of humanitarian donations from the Indonesian people to the Palestinian people is carried out by implementing the 3A principles, namely Safe Syar’i, Safe Regulations, Safe for the Republic of Indonesia.
“This humanitarian activity is in line with BAZNAS RI’s mission to reach more people in need and have a positive impact on their lives,” concluded Kiai Noor (Z-8)
