Bayern’s medical staff, who won the league title for the eleventh season in a row, diagnosed Musiala (20 years old) with a rupture of “muscle fibers in his left thigh” following he finished training on Wednesday.
Local media reported that Musiala may miss several weeks, including Bayern’s next two local matches once morest Augsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach, in addition to his country’s friendly matches next September once morest Japan and France.
Musiala imposed himself in the squad with Bayern and the “De Manshaft” team in recent seasons. The attacking midfielder scored 12 goals and passed 13 assists in 33 matches in the “Bundesliga” during the past season 2022-2023, which is a higher total than any other player in the Bavarian club who joined his ranks in 2019.
Musiala, born in Stuttgart, defended the English clubs Southampton (2010-2011) and Chelsea (2011-2019) in his early years and was qualified to play for the “Three Lions” national team, but he preferred to wear the German national team shirt. He emerged in the World Cup in Qatar last year, despite the disappointment of being eliminated from the group stage, and played 23 international matches, scoring a goal.
Bayern began the title defense campaign with a 4-0 victory in Werder Bremen, in a match that saw newcomer English striker Harry Kane open his scoring tally with his contribution with a goal from the Quartet.
Bayern also said that defender Benjamin Pavard missed training “Wednesday due to illness”. Note that the Frenchman’s name has been linked to a possible transfer to Italian Inter, the European runner-up.
