Bayern signs Mathys Tel from Stade Rennes!

The change from Mathys Tel to FC Bayern has been indicated for days, and as of today it is now perfect. As the Munich team announced on Tuesday, the 17-year-old attacking player is moving from Stade Rennes to the German record champions.

Last weekend Bayern and Rennes reached an agreement in the transfer poker for Mathys Tel. Almost 48 hours later, all signatures on the contracts are dry, as Bayern have officially confirmed. Curious: Bayern have not given any information on the duration of the contract. Rumor has it that Tel has been given a 5-year deal until 2027 in Munich.

According to consistent media reports, the German record champion pays a fixed fee of 20 million euros. In addition, a further 8.5 million euros can flow in the form of bonus payments.

“Mathys Tel is one of the greatest talents in Europe”

Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic commented on the Tel transfer as follows: “Mathys Tel is one of the greatest talents in Europe, a very fast, technically strong and versatile striker. With France’s U17s, he became European champion this year as the team’s captain. We’ve been watching him for a long time and have now been able to convince him to take his next important steps with us in Munich. We’re proud of that because there were a lot of clubs that wanted to sign him.”

“I will give everything for this club”

The 17-year-old youngster himself is looking forward to the new challenge in Munich: “FC Bayern is one of the best teams in the world. I’m really looking forward to this great challenge and will give everything for this club. The talks with Hasan Salihamidzic and those responsible at FC Bayern really impressed me and quickly made me realize that I really wanted to go to Munich.”
