Bayern pain limit for Lewandowski transfer in summer is 40 million euros!

Robert Lewandowski’s sporting future at FC Bayern remains the main topic on Säbener Strasse. Even if those responsible recently denied a premature farewell in the summer, this is by no means impossible. According to current media reports, the Munich team are ready to talk for a transfer fee of EUR 40 million.

“We’re not crazy!” With these words, club boss Oliver Kahn reacted last week when he was asked regarding a possible sale of Lewandowski in the summer. The 52-year-old made it clear that Bayern would like to keep the top scorer in the long term. According to the “kicker” it is only the “official version”. According to information from the trade journal, a sale of the Pole at the end of the season is by no means impossible.

Bayern rejects more salary for Lewandowski

As the “kicker” reports, Munich are still willing to extend the contract of the FIFA world footballer by two years until 2025. The prerequisite for this, however, is that the 33-year-old does not receive a salary increase. According to rumours, he currently earns between 23-25 million euros and is already the absolute top earner on the Isar. The Bayern bosses therefore reject more salary. According to the “BILD”, however, his advisor Pini Zahavi is demanding a “significant increase” for signing a new working paper.

If there is no agreement, Bayern are ready to sell the attacker. A premature separation is possible with a transfer fee of 40 million euros or more, as the “kicker” claims to have learned. According to Transfermarkt, the current market value of the Polish international is around 50 million euros.

In addition to FC Barcelona, Manchester United in particular are said to be very interested in Lewandowski. According to reports, both clubs are already in contact with Zahavi and are ready to make a move in the summer if the extension at Bayern actually fails. The talks between Bayern and the player side are already underway, but should only really pick up speed in the coming days.
