The first new addition of the winter has been a long time coming – but now the deal seems to be almost over.
Bayern agree with Tottenham and defender Eric Dier (29)! The England side is already in Munich for a medical check.

As BILD reported on Wednesday, Dier had become a hot topic once more following Radu Dragusin (21) was rejected. The Genoa star preferred to move to Tottenham – but that also cleared the way for the Dier deal.
As “Sky” reports, the England international (49 appearances, most recently not nominated) landed in Munich on Thursday morning. He should cost around four million euros and sign a contract until 2025.
In Munich, Dier will meet his long-time Spurs friend Harry Kane (30, played with Dier at Tottenham from 2014 to 2023). The two have also often played together for the English national team, including at the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.

The photo was taken at 1:07 p.m. in the underground car park of the Barmfühle Brüder hospital in Munich. To see: Dier together with team supervisor Johannes Mösmang.
In the clinic, Dier completed the first of two parts of the medical check. The Englishman was trained in the department of Bavaria’s team internist Prof. Dr. Roland Schmidt put it through its paces.

After the internal examination (including heart, ECG, lungs, kidneys), Dier went into the underground car park and loaded his backpack into the trunk of the red electric Audi e-tron.
As a passenger, he then drove to Säbener Straße to complete the orthopedic part of the medical check half an hour later.

On “Sky” this morning, Dier raved regarding the move and regarding Bayern: “A great club, really great.”
He is expected to be one of the most eagerly awaited defensive players for coach Thomas Tuchel (50). The coach is said to have spoken to Dier a few days ago. Tuchel plans to use the defensive all-rounder primarily as a central defender!
