On Sunday, the new contract between Munich and the main sponsor Telekom was officially announced. A contract that makes the other clubs look enviously at Munich.
Bavaria has already received 45 million per year so far, according to BILD information it is now around 50 million. The new contract runs until 2027 – and brings Bayern 250 million euros!
Bayern’s million deal is the thickest contract in the Bundesliga – and it certainly doesn’t make it easier for the competitors to overthrow Bayern from the champion’s throne.
Boss Oliver Kahn (53): “This is huge, we are very happy regarding it. It is extremely important for us to have such strong partners as Telekom. Otherwise we would not be where we are today.”
Telekom manager Michael Hagspihl (60) on working with Bayern: “FC Bayern Munich and Deutsche Telekom have written an amazing success story over the past 20 years. We are very proud of these joint successes and the many milestones.”
