Bayern Munich announced today, Tuesday, the extension of the contract of German player Thomas Muller until 2024.

The club said in an official statement: “Bayern and Muller agreed to extend the contract early. He has been here since the age of ten, and he has progressed from one age group to another, until he participated with the first team in 2008.”

He added, “It is the last title in the league, the number 10 in a row for the 32-year-old, and the eleventh with Bayern Munich. He entered the history of the Bundesliga as the most crowned player in the tournament.”

Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic described Muller as a leader who has a great influence on and off the field, so he cannot imagine Thomas Muller without Bayern Munich or Bayern Munich without Thomas Muller.

Muller expressed his happiness with the contract extension, saying, “The journey we’ve taken together since I joined the youth team in 2000 has been a great success story so far.”

Thomas Muller played 413 matches with Bayern Munich in the German League, during which he contributed 287 goals (he scored 136 and provided 151 assists).
