MEMBER of Commission II DPR RI from the NasDem Party Fraction, Aminurokhman, assessed that the commotion in the 2024 Election includes the issue of managing the Recapitulation Information System (Sirekap). He questioned the real actions of the election monitoring agency since before there were problems with data in the KPU’s Sirekap application with scans of Form C results.
Aminurokhman questioned Bawaslu’s statement which claimed to have sent letters three times to the KPU regarding the use of Sirekap. He said that the function of monitoring and preventing fraud needs to be carried out with concrete actions, not just warnings.
“One of Bawaslu’s duties is to prevent election violations. If Bawaslu sees things that are suspected of deviating from norms without being asked, Bawaslu must take a stand because its role is clear,” said Aminurokhman when contacted, Sunday (17/3).
According to him, Bawaslu’s action by sending a letter to the KPU regarding the Sirekap commotion was a normative matter. However, there needs to be concrete action so that the Sirekap case can be resolved at an early stage.
“Giving a letter to the KPU is a normative procedure, but what are the concrete steps following giving the letter? Don’t let it get to the end of this before Bawaslu takes a concrete stance, even though from the start, if there are suspicions of fraud, it will be prevented,” said Aminurokhman.
Commission II, he said, from the start had reminded election organizers to work together in carrying out elections according to norms and rules. He emphasized that Bawaslu is the party that is also responsible for matters related to Sirekap.
Bawaslu in the implementation of elections has the task of being an organizer and has supervisory responsibility.
“Bawaslu is partly responsible for the chaos that occurred in the 2024 election.” he said. (Z-6)
