FC Bayern Munich has a few squad gaps to fill. The club management has been assuring for several months that there will be winter transfers. An overview of the possible transfer targets for the German record champions.
Those responsible at FC Bayern are facing a challenging month: transfers can still be made until February 1st. The record champions urgently need reinforcements in defense. Sport BILD has now published a Bavarian shopping list. It should contain the names that are currently being discussed by those responsible at Bayern.
Three candidates are at the top of the transfer list at FC Bayern – one is an old acquaintance
Three names are said to be at the top of the list: Ronald Araujo from FC Barcelona, Joao Palhinha from Fulham FC and Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad. Bayern would still be willing to put a lot of money on the table for Araujo. But since a change in winter is almost impossible, the money might also be put into signing midfielder Palhinha.
Because Bayern were aiming for a purchase in the amount of 60 million euros in defense, the search for a Holding Six took longer. This sum might now be freed up for a Palhinha deal. If the transfer doesn’t work out once more in the winter, the Spaniard Zubimendi will be the target.
Bayern bosses have numerous other targets on their radar
Behind these three players on the list would be the following names: Giorgio Scalvini from Atalanta Bergamo, Clément Lenglet from FC Barcelona, currently on loan to Aston Villa, Arnau Martinez from FC Girona, Takehiro Tomiyasu from Arsenal FC and Lutsharel Geertruida from Feyenoord Rotterdam.
The latter had already been mentioned as a candidate for Bayern several times in the summer, but not recently – which is why this name is the most surprising on the list. According to Sky information, there is no truth to the rumor regarding Geertruida: FC Bayern is currently not interested in the Dutchman. A winter transfer is unlikely, it was said.
