It sounded like a modern fairy tale: an 18-year-old wants to compete with Lufthansa & Co. with his own airline. The name: Bavarian Airlines, home airport: Munich. Now it turned out: Adem K. is not of legal age, but apparently only 15 years old. The public prosecutor is investigating once morest him.

Munich/Moers – In January of this year, Adem K. announced in a major tabloid and on a private broadcaster that he had founded his own airline in November following bad experiences with Lufthansa’s business class service. The name: Bavarian Airlines.

Bavarian Airline Manager Adem K.: 15-year-old glued investors

It is to take off from Munich with twelve Embraer E195-E2 jets. Destinations: Vienna, Amsterdam, London City, Berlin, Dusseldorf and Milan. One already has a two-digit million amount “from investors and from one’s own pocket,” says the hopeful young entrepreneur. As early as 2024, Bavarian Airlines will carry 2.1 million passengers – with a total of 21,900 flights, i.e. 60 per day. Starting capital: a double-digit million amount. The license has been applied for.

One who believed these descriptions is the PR manager Michael Lampel (54) from Saarland. He contacted Adem K. from Moers (Lower Rhine) via the LinkedIn career portal. He met with him in Luxembourg and Malta and advanced the expenses for flights and hotels. That’s what Lampel’s fraud report says tz present. Adem K. had therefore asked for the costs to be laid out, since his airline was only newly founded and he therefore did not yet have a credit card.

“Millions made from risky crypto trades”

But otherwise he had apparently done everything to fake a good credit rating: According to Lampel, Adem K. boasted that he had earned an amount of 40 to 60 million euros with “risky crypto transactions”. He is also the CEO (Chairman of the Board) of the crypto exchange Extoro AG (“the leading financial company in Germany”).

On a website created for this purpose, 45,000 customers spoke of 18 million euros in transactions, the advertisement shows. Adem K. also presented bank statements from the Swiss UBS Bank with an account balance of around three million Swiss francs. According to Lampel, everything is fake.

Adem K. also wanted to shoot satellites into space

According to the ad, Adem K. also boasted regarding a company called Ovavex that shoots satellites into space. Quarterly profit: 12.5 million euros. He is said to have submitted a fake audit (expert report) by the international management consultancy Ernst & Young. According to Lampel, the homepage – like almost all of Adem K.’s projects at wix.com – was hosted. Adem K. also reported on real estate transactions worth millions in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf.

At the meeting in Malta, Adem K. was upgraded to a business suite in the Hilton at Lampel’s expense and a man also stayed there, according to the ad. The gentleman had been introduced to Lampel as a business partner. Additional costs: 600 euros. According to the ad, Adem K. then boasted during the negotiations that he had laundered money for a commission of 20 percent. That’s how he got his fortune.

After a gin and tonic to the meeting

According to Lampel, one of the “business partners” that Adem K. had brought to Malta stated that he was caught with cocaine at the Swiss border and that he was in prison. Adem K. also reported prison experiences to the ad. No wonder: he often gave the impression of being drunk at meetings. Once he was an hour late for the meeting. “According to him, because of gin and tonic,” says Lampel. But that didn’t bother him: “We all assumed that he was 18.”

Lampel finally concluded a contract with Adem K., a “Business Consultant Agreement”. Lampel’s hourly rate: 350 euros. The PR consultant asserts that the sentence is “customary in the market”. He billed Adem K. EUR 56,064.30 for fees, expenses and expenses. Adem K. is also said to have negotiated with other media agencies, an airline in Malta, a mobile phone operator, etc., and in some cases has already concluded contracts.

He is even said to have negotiated with an Airbus employee over the delivery of 12 A220 airliners. At Munich Airport, he asked regarding the procedure for applying for take-off and landing rights, as a spokesman confirmed. He is said to have applied to the Federal Aviation Authority for approval for his airline, which the authority neither denies nor confirms. According to Adem K. Lampel, his airline also entered the lobby register of the Bundestag, address: Terminalstrasse 18 at Munich Airport. However, there is no airline with that name there.

A fancy ID card and a real passport

The dream of young talent Adem K. burst when it turned out that he was apparently not 18 but only 15 years old. A business partner sent Lampel photos of a German and a Turkish ID card belonging to Adem K., the latter showing 2007 as the year of birth. However, Adem K. apparently also had a poorly forged ID card from the United Nations (“United Nations” was written on it) on hand, which stated 2004 as the year of birth. Was he faking the wrong age?

At 15 he would not be fully legally competent, all contracts would then be void. In any case, a Frankfurt real estate agent canceled all transactions with Adem K. because the buyer was a minor. The company should be left with the notary fees and other expenses.

The prosecutor is investigating

The public prosecutor’s office in Moers is investigating Adem K. on suspicion of forgery. “The accused is accused of being in possession of forged identity papers,” said prosecutor Alexandra Wiese zur tz. She was not allowed to provide any further information because the suspect was underage… And what does Adem K. say regarding that? He denied this accusation to the magazine “Gründerszene”.
