Bausch Health on Friday recalled Emerade epinephrine auto-injectors (0.3 mg and 0.5 mg) due to possible mechanical failure.
The recall affects lots distributed in Canada between April 2022 and May 2023.
Emerade Auto-Injectors are used to deliver an emergency therapeutic dose of epinephrine to patients at risk of having a severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) or who have a history of severe allergic reactions
explains Bausch Health.
The company is asking holders of the affected auto-injectors to return them to pharmacies in order to obtain a replacement product.
It indicates that if a replacement product is not available, to keep the Emerade auto-injector until it can be replaced
