Statements by Russian military commanders and propagandists that the occupiers managed to occupy the village of New York in the Donetsk region are not true.

This was announced by the head of the Center for Combating Disinformation Andrii Kovalenko in Telegram.

As you know, today propaganda published a video of how the occupiers hung a flag on the roof of a village school.

“Of course, New York has not been taken by the Russians as of now. Heavy fighting is going on there.” – wrote Kovalenko.

He also emphasized that the enemy made an allusion about the alleged capture of New York in order to divert the attention of the Russians from the battles in the border areas of the Kursk region.

We will remind, this morning in Russia it was reported about the attempt of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “to break into the territory of the Kursk region.” Later, the Ministry of Defense of the occupying country said that the Russians had put forward reserves to contain the breakthrough.

“Word and Deed” offers to recall which battles of this war were the bloodiest for Russians.
