Battlefield 2042: Dice’s Promise Delivered – Redesigned Maps, Total War Attachments, Squad Management Improvements, and More!

2023-08-02 07:00:38

Dice released Battlefield 2042 too soon and should have developed the game for at least another six months before letting it hit store shelves, and we don’t think a single gamer would disagree, not today. But following nearly two years of constant updates, it finally appears to be functional and complete, says the developer of Hourglass, the now-shrunk map. Following this, Dice announced that they have now delivered on their promise and kept it, which you can read more of below. Quote from the Dice blog post: With this release, we’re fulfilling the promise we made to you when we launched Season 1: Before Zero Hour last year – we’ve now redesigned all of our launch maps. We want to thank you for your continued feedback and for your patience as we work to roll out these improvements to you. Let us know how the hourglass feels! We’re also finalizing the release of the final set of Total War attachments for SMGs, LMGs, and Sidearm Vault weapons. You’ll also find further tweaks to these weapons to ensure their gameplay and versatility match their Total War counterparts. Share your thoughts on these changes, as we will make adjustments if necessary. In addition to Season 5: New Dawn, we also offer you the first iteration of squad management improvements. However, you told us that this feature wouldn’t be complete without the “kick and lock” feature, as it doesn’t give the leader full control over their squad. Regardless of the reasons we didn’t consider these options earlier, you’ve told us this feature is critical to your squad management experience, so we’ll be adding both.
