Released in early access two weeks ago, BattleBit Remastered succeeded in the feat of placing himself in Steam bestsellers in a few days. As a reminder, this is an independent game, developed by three people for about seven years, whose objective is to find the sensations of games like Battlefield 2, improving the gameplay along the way. Very attentive to the community, the developers have managed to produce a very successful title in terms of gameplay, which it would be a shame to dismiss because of the artistic direction, which is particularly divisive – not to say very ugly. But the players are not mistaken, since they still gathered there at over 80,000 last night.
However, such a success attracts jealous people, who therefore have nothing better to do than launch attacks DDOS on the servers that host the games. According to the ticket de blog Steam published on Saturday, the first week went relatively well, the team having prepared for this kind of situation beforehand. On the other hand, the second week started badly, because the attackers discovered a flaw in the firewalls, allowing them to bring down servers, and in particular those on which streamers were, just to maximize their nuisance. The developers therefore devoted themselves entirely to correcting the flaw, and they managed to patch the firewalls, to the detriment of the progress of the developments planned for the game.
They conclude their blog post with what is planned in the short term: obviously, bug fixes, improvements and adjustments, but also new weapons and game modes, as well as community servers to run mods and games. parts with specific rules. Finally, they will also recruit a whole team dedicated to the detection and elimination of cheaters, which unfortunately are already arriving on the servers.
