Announced when from the latest Nintendo Direct, Mario Strikers: Battle League Football gets a trailer detailing its content and gameplay in view of its relatively soon release from June 10.

The formula of Mario Strikers remains basically the same with Battle League Football : characters from the Mario universe compete on a football field, and all moves are allowed. However, unlike the 2007 Wii episode, players will be able to compose freely their team of 4 players from a roster – quite shy, it must be admitted – of 10 characters.

Thanks to an equipment system that refines character statistics, Battle League Football promises some form of customization, and why not? depth. Gameplay also benefits from some noveltiessuch as the possibility of tackle own teammates to make them gain a few meters in the opposing camp.

Of course these are Hyper Strikes spectacular and unique to each character that set the tone, giving the opportunity to score two points at oncebut on condition that you get your hands on an “S Orb” which periodically appears in the field.

Still very discreet regarding its content in solo mode worthy of the name, Mario Strikers: Battle League Football currently focuses on its multiplayer mode up to 8 players locally and its services in line. Switch Online subscribers will be able to create and join clubs in order to raise its ranking, and why not go up in league.
