This is the case when the water level at the Korneuburg measuring point exceeds 5.30 metres. On Tuesday he stood at 5.9 meters, reports “Die Presse”. It usually stands at around three meters. The authority therefore started a routine flood operation on Tuesday morning. There is a bathing ban on the New Danube. “This also means a ban on any kind of water sports and boating,” it says. As a precaution, the two pontoon bridges Copasteg and Walulisobrücke were closed.
