He continued, “We learned many lessons from these elections, and our victory is mixed with sadness for the victims, especially the victims of the Port of Beirut, and with concern for the future.”

Bassil affirmed that “we have the largest bloc and bloc in Parliament,” noting that “with the imaginary victory announced by some, yesterday, Monday, the price of the dollar witnessed a big jump in the market.”

He stressed that “diversity is required, but fragmentation is rejected,” noting that “the idea of ​​eliminating anyone is an illusion, and the issue of technocrats is rejected. There is popular legitimacy that we must respect.”

Bassil believed that “today is not the time for a duel and who is the strongest. We are forced to put our hands in each other’s hands for the sake of Lebanon’s interest.”

He continued, “Our wound in the movement is Jezzine, where the error occurred because of the performance of the movement, and because of the political siege we faced there,” noting that “despite the political money, we still represent the majority in Jezzine.”
