The Syrian artist, Bassam Koussa, returns to the social drama in the series “Mal al-Qabban”, following he was absent for a long time from this type of work, as he participated in recent years in joint Arab series, and others belonging to the Levantine environment.

This news caused a happy surprise for the fans of the Syrian artist, especially following a large number of them felt disappointed because of his participation in the Arab series “Secret”, which was his first experience in Arab drama, and the audience considered it a “fall” in the history of Bassam Koussa.
Koussa will participate in the next Ramadan season 2023, which begins in March, in the series “Mal Al Qabban”, produced by Hilal Arnaout and Ahmed Al Sheikh.
This work is the third partnership that brings together writer Ali Wajih and writer Yamen Al-Hijali with director Saif Al-Subaie, following their success in the past two seasons in “On a Hot Tin” and “Suspended Execution.”
The identity of the actress nominated for the starring role in front of Bassam Koussa, or the rest of the action stars, has not yet been revealed.
The audience expects that the series will achieve great success, in addition to that it will constitute a strong return for the Syrian star in social drama, especially since Yamen Hajali and Ali Wajih performed two distinguished works in the past two seasons in partnership with Saif Al-Subaie.
Bassam Koussa in Arabic works and Levantine drama
Bassam Koussa is considered one of the most prominent stars of the Arab world, and during his artistic career he presented a lot of diverse works between comedy, social and Levantine, and excelled in all the categories he presented.
Koussa was absent from social and comic works, and his presence in the past years was limited to Arab and Levantine works, as he embodied the character of Amer Badran in the Syrian-Lebanese series “Secret”, which was shown in two seasons.
In the Ramadan season 2019, Koussa embodied the character of Mahyoub in the series “Salasil Dahab”, a gold dealer who deceives women in the name of love in order to obtain their money.
Karis Bashar, Dima Kandalaft, Shukran Murtaja, Sabah Al-Jazaery, in addition to Abdel-Hadi Sabbagh, Samer Ismail and others, participated in the series “Gold Chains”.
He also embodied the character of Imran Al-Hariri in the series, which also belongs to the Levantine drama “Souk Al-Harir”, which dealt with the story of Imran and his three wives, his meeting with his brother Abdullah following years of disappearance, and the presentation of the work in the seasons of Ramadan 2020 and 2021.
