Our national team lost the third match in the Gulf Championship qualifying for the Asian finals from Saudi Arabia, with a score of 48-58 in the tournament held at Al-Wasl Club Hall, which will continue until the sixth of next month.
The quarters ended with a score of 13-12, 17-13, 18-11, 10-12, in favor of Saudi Arabia, in a match in which our team did not provide the desired level.
In another match, the Qatar team succeeded in defeating Bahrain 72-63 in a strong match between the two sides, and the Qatar team continues to achieve victories and lead the championship.
The participating teams will rest on Monday, and the matches will resume on Tuesday, as our team plays with the Sultanate of Oman, Qatar with Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain faces Kuwait on the penultimate day of the preliminary round.
Six Gulf teams will participate in the tournament, the first four teams qualify for the golden box, and the Asian finals scheduled for next month will be Iran, the champion and runner-up for this Gulf edition.
