Basketball – World Cup qualifiers: the Belgian Lions win against the British and keep a tiny hope of qualifying

Easy winners of the Britain (59-88), the Belgians have given themselves the right to continue to dream of qualifying for the next World Cup. It will nevertheless take a famous combination of circumstances to see the guys from Dario Gjergja stamp their ticket for the Philippines.

Traveling across the Channel, the Belgian Lions knew they had no choice but to win. A certain pressure which also tensed the visitors at the start of the match. But, following a complicated start to the game, Kevin Tumba and others made the hole in the second quarter to fly away to an easy victory.

Belgium will return to the courts on Monday once morest the Turkey. A (large) victory added to a defeat of the Serbia would qualify our national team for its first World Cup. A scenario that will hardly see the light of day when we know that the Serbs will receive the British who seemed very timorous this Friday.
