Restoring a building holds many surprises. Ancient traces reappear, treasures are revealed. And, sometimes, words emerge from the past… Last summer, in Lausanne, the team of specialists at the bedside of the Notre-Dame-du-Valentin basilica, built in 1835 by the architect Henri Perregaux, made a discovery unusual.
