The Health Insurance Council confirmed that the basic insurance policy covers the costs of treating mental conditions resulting from alcohol or drug abuse.

The council stated that the policy covers the costs of detection and diagnosis to treat these cases, as well as many other mental illnesses.

He pointed out that the guarantee document does not cover the costs of hypnotizing these cases for the purpose of rehabilitation, indicating that the maximum limit granted to psychological cases during the period of the policy is 50,000 riyals.
