Basic electricity tariff increase: What will be the new rate depending on how many units are used, details released – Pakistan

The government has increased the basic electricity tariff. Nepra has increased the basic electricity tariff by Rs 5.72 per unit while fixed charges have also been imposed on electricity consumers.

Electricity prices have been increased for the current financial year. New rate slabs for electricity consumers have been issued, the new rate will be applicable on all units for consumption of electricity even one unit above each slab.

A minimum rate of Rs 23 73 paise per unit has been fixed for household electricity consumers. Customers who use 200 units continuously for 6 months will be charged Rs 26.11 per unit.

Electricity rates fixed at Rs 25.53 per unit for non-protected consumers up to 200 units

Electricity rates for consumers with 201 to 300 units fixed at Rs 29.74 per unit

For consumption of 301 to 400 units, the electricity rate will be 32 rupees 98 paise per unit.

Consumers using 401 to 500 units will pay Rs 34.27 per unit

Electricity rates for consumers using 501 to 600 units fixed at Rs 35.64 per unit

601 to 700 units will have to pay Rs 36.96 per unit.

The rate of electricity will be Rs 41 69 paise per unit for using more than 700 units of electricity

The new electricity rates for commercial consumers and industrial consumers have been set at Rs 41 and Rs 30 per unit respectively, while the new electricity rates for agricultural consumers have been set at Rs 22 and 85 paise per unit.
