Hip-hop singer Basboi and rock band The Adams will release a collaborative single titled Itu Aku on September 13, 2024 and will be released digitally on various music streaming platforms.
“This song captures positive feelings such as pride, satisfaction and happiness, but at the same time also feels sad, guilty, afraid and regretful,” said Basboi, quoted from an official statement, Thursday (12/9).
He added, “This time of mixed emotions was an important moment for me, so I wrote this song in the hope that it could make the moment into a monument.”
The song Itu Aku was produced by Ario Hendarwan from The Adams and Panji Wisnu, and is the fourth single from Basboi’s second album which is planned to be released in October.
Interestingly, the single Itu Aku is also the first collaborative song in The Adams’ career history as well as the first work from Ario, Saleh Husein, and Gigih Suryoprayogo since releasing the album Agterplaas in 2019.
In addition to releasing the single Itu Aku in audio form, Basboi will also release Itu Aku in the form of a music video directed by Reinhart Giovanni. The music video will air on Basboi’s official YouTube channel on the same day, namely September 13, 2024.

“So, I first listened to the lyrics of Itu Aku, and what I imagined in my head was the panorama of riding in a car on Jalan Sudirman in the 2000s, which was quiet at night with dim lights at 2 in the morning. That was the atmosphere I picked up,” said Ario The Adams as the producer of the Itu single

Through Itu Aku, both Basboi and The Adams hope that listeners will be surprised and entertained by the music that is different from before.
