Bas-Intyamon (FR): Paraglider caught in high voltage electric cables

A 40-year-old found himself stranded in power lines on Saturday around 4:45 p.m. An important device has been put in place to help him. Slightly injured, he was taken to hospital.

A paraglider was slightly injured after getting caught in electric cables in the village of Enney (FR).

S. witnessed a scene as unusual as it was dangerous on Saturday around 4:45 p.m. “A paraglider was in a bad position on a high voltage line in Enney, in the town of Bas-Intyamon (FR)”, said this young resident of the region. Several other reader-reporters contacted 20 minutes to communicate the same information.

The rescue operation, which notably mobilized the fire brigade, the REGA and the police, was particularly perilous. Since, according to our reader-reporters, the paraglider was caught between several electric cables.

Around 8:30 p.m., this man, who would be in his forties, was able to be extricated from his annoying posture. Slightly injured, he was taken to hospital for checks.

Throughout the operation, the cantonal road between Enney and Villars-sous-Mont was closed to traffic. Traffic has now resumed.

Contacted by 20 minutes, the Friborg police announce that a press release will be issued shortly.
