In absolute numbers, average prices continue to climb slightly everywhere with the highest increase in the province of Luxembourg for houses (+6.1%)followed by Hainaut with an increase of 4.8% for houses.
Increases are also observed in the other Walloon provinces as well as in Brussels and Flanders, but with sometimes significant variations between prices for a house or an apartment.
If houses increased by 3.5% in the province of Namur, the average price of apartments reached 0.7%, i.e. a relative stability. The opposite is true in Liège where houses are increasing little (+1.8%) compared to apartments (+5%).
In summary, overall in the three regions of the country, for houses the average price increases more in Flanders (+6.1%) to 341,635 euros than in Brussels (+4.9%) to 565,866 euros or in Wallonia (+2.5%) to 228,383 euros while for apartments, the average price increases more in Wallonia (+4.8%) to 197,342 euros than in Flanders (+2.4%) to 264,937 euros and that in Brussels-Capital (+1.5%) to 275,321 euros.
But on the side of the federation of notaries, we observe that these increases must be reconsidered if we take into account an inflation percentage estimated at 7.7%, which then means in most cases lower prices compared to those of the same previous semester (2021).
