Barkhane announces the neutralization of 10 suspected terrorists in the North

The French Force Barkhane announced Thursday evening in a press release that it had neutralized ten suspected terrorists in an anti-terrorist operation which also claimed the lives of four civilians in northern Burkina Faso on the night of February 7 to 8.

During this operation, says the French army, a group of commandos from Barkhane was attacked by a dozen terrorists in ambush, who were neutralized following heavy fighting.

“During the search of the area, the group of commandos noted the neutralization of 10 terrorists”, indicates the press release which adds that a significant quantity of armament, explosives, mortars and shells were found on the scene. .

Unfortunately, despite all the measures taken, four civilians who were in the camp among the terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire, the statement said.

While deploring the death of these four civilians, the Barkhane force reaffirms its commitment alongside the armies of the Sahel in the fight once morest terrorism.
