In the Antonio José de Sucre municipality, following many bees caused stings to 41 inhabitants of different ages, which caused the immediate intervention of security agencies and mobilization of ambulances.
A group of people from the aforementioned hamlet located on Trunk Road 5, in the morning hours of this Saturday, July 13, when the place was invaded by a swarm of bees from an unknown location, which mercilessly attacked the people, who were victims of strong stings.
Most of the people targeted by these insects received multiple bites, amidst screams and cries for help. The people ran towards Troncal 5, where some were rescued by individuals who took them to the Dr. José León Tapia hospital, where they received urgent treatment, according to La Noticia de Barinas.
Among the victims was an 83-year-old woman in anaphylactic shock and a six-month-old baby. The security and prevention forces managed to control the situation and assisted with the transfer.
