Bariloche invites you to a “pic nic” of music and art at the Rural property

An encounter with music rock the first night and electronic yesterdayadded to design and gastronomy, centered on environmental awareness, proposes the second edition of the Patagonia Picnic Festival that started this weekend in Bariloche.

The event takes place on the premises of the Rural Society of Bariloche, on the way to the international airport and has three other shows planned, on January 28, February 3 and 5.

At the start of the festival, 2,500 people enjoyed Las Pelotas and El Kuelgue as main attractions, in addition to Fran Lanfré, Power Lolo, Nina da Terra, Gusanos de Seda and a Dj Set completed the musical grid. “It is a project that represents art, design and nature in its greatest splendor”, according to the words of its organizers to Télam.

In addition to the artistic shows, the festival has tattoo stands, barbershops, artistic makeup, various gastronomic proposals and entertainment for the little ones.

“The afternoon and evening were provided so that everything went as planned and more” said Joaquín De Bento, general producer of Patagonia Picnic.

Yesterday there was also an ideal setting to enjoy electronic music with the participation of John Digweed, Nico Cano, Fabián Argomedo, Luca Lacroix, Christian Álvarez and VJ JT.

“I always say that I am lucky to be surrounded by such a natural landscape, what better way to share it while taking care of the environment and leaving the minimum environmental footprint,” said De Bento.

The producer of the event remarked that “the main objective is leave the minimum ecological footprint and have a positive impact on our public as suppliers with measures that they can adopt in their daily lives”.

The event promotes Elimination of the use of disposable plastic utensils and containers within the property, which are replaced by elements of paper, cardboard and reusable eco-cups.

Furthermore, on the property waste is separated at source and smoking stations are implemented where cigarette butts and boxes should be placed.

Patagonia Picnic emerged, at the end of 2021, with the impulse of the recovery of massive events after the restrictions of the coronavirus pandemic, which had the premise of being organized last January outdoors, with certain requirements that were still requested back then, such as the Covid-19 vaccine schedule and social distancing.

In this second edition, the celebration of the Patagonia Picnic has no restrictions of any kind. It is only hoped that the weather accompanies to enjoy the festival that takes place outdoors.


What’s next on the agenda


The Patagonia Picnic continues next weekend. The Saturday January 28 will be the night of rock and reggae with the Uruguayan band You will not like it and it does not pale as featured bands.

It will continue on Friday, February 3, when the participation of the Spanish DJ Hector Couto and the Ciclic Wild Fest are expected.

On Sunday February 5th is the time of the trap by the hand of Trueno. Also on stage will be La Valenti, a musical project by the artist Valentina Soria, in which styles such as soul, R&B, hip hop, pop and folklore come together.

On festival days, the venue opens at 4:00 p.m. with its food trucks and other artistic proposals that complement the music.

Tickets are on sale at www.laticketera.ar ​​and at Bustillo 10,500; Los Notros 173, Dina Huapi and Miter 660, in downtown Bariloche. ($5,000 residents and $6,000 non-residents).

The festival has a round trip transportation service for $1,800 from the National Parks Building (October 12, 1198) with departures at 5, 6 and 7 pm. The return is at midnight.
