The Chinese brand Honor is operating a large price reduction operation for its new folding smartphone. The company hopes to convert new followers in this difficult-to-access segment.
Folding smartphones, and more particularly those that fold vertically, are positioned in a very high-end segment and the price inevitably follows. Honor has therefore decided to offer some €200 reduction to all Fnac member + who wants to buy the device.
A compelling offer
This year 2023 has already seen many new folding smartphones arrive on the shelves of our stores. Samsung is no longer the sole master on board and welcomes new competitors every month, mostly from China. Honor is one of the last players to have released its folding smartphone, with its Magic Vs launched at the end of May in the world, and therefore in France. A powerful smartphone, which was sold at launch at a price of €1,599.
Here it benefits from a great promotional offer from the manufacturer. Thus, Fnac + members can obtain, from today, 200 € reduction when purchasing the smartphone. But that’s not all, it is also possible for them to benefit from a payment for the device in three or four installments free of charge. A quick calculation therefore brings us to a state-of-the-art folding smartphone for the sum of 1,399 €.
A strong competitor to Samsung’s Z Fold 4
For less than 1,400 € therefore, by being a Fnac member, it is possible to acquire this folding smartphone of 160.3 x 72.6 x 12.9 mm for 267 g. Its teardrop-shaped hinge promises a sharper and less marked bend on the internal 7.9-inch screen with a definition of 2,272 × 1,984 pixels. The smartphone also has a 6.5-inch OLED external display (2560×1080 pixels). The foldable is powered by an eight-core Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip accompanied by an Adreno 730 GPU. It comes to France in a single configuration including 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
Its photo island includes three cameras including a main sensor of 54 mpx (f / 1.9) accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle of 50 mpx (f / 2.0) and an 8 mpx telephoto lens (f / 2.4). Everything is powered by a large 5000 mAh battery rechargeable at 66 W with a wired plug.
