Barcelona superstar leaves club; Now the rival of the club
One of their superstars, Memphis Deppe, has left the club from La Liga giants Barcelona.
Dutch star Dieppe has joined Barca’s La Liga rivals Latico Madrid.
The reports that have come out are that the Madrid club has brought the player to their platform for an amount between three to four million euros and the transfer procedures including medical check-up will be completed soon.
Fabrizio Romano, a leading Italian sports journalist and football expert, has released more information regarding the transfer through his social media handles.
Romano also noted in his post that the player will be at the Madrid club until 2028.
Deppe was signed to the Catalan club when Ronald Koeman was the coach at Barca.
The Dutchman, who had performed well under Koeman for the club, was unable to perform well under new coach and ex-Barca star Xavi.
Diepe was often destined to sit on the bench as he was not a suitable player for Xavi’s style of play and tactics. With this, the player put an application in front of the Barcelona authorities to be allowed to leave the club and he would have moved to Latico Madrid in the January transfer.
Diepe, who has played as a Barca player so far, will now compete in the Spanish fields as Barca’s rival.
Dieppe will play for the Madrid club as a replacement for Jao Felix, who joined Chelsea on loan.
At the same time, Barcelona is in first place in La Liga with 41 points from 16 matches. Latico Madrid are fourth in the points table with 28 points from 17 matches.
Laticoque will face the Valladolid club when Barcelona take on Getafe in La Liga on January 22.
