Barcelona lost to Osasuna in El Sadar

Osasuna comfortably beat an unrecognizable Barcelona 4-2 to remain undefeated in their stadium and inflict the first defeat of the season in the Spanish LaLiga of professional football for Hansi Flick’s team, who made rotations that he paid for with a tough defeat.

Osasuna shook off the culé’s initial dominance with intense pressure to not let its rival think. Flick’s team, without Lamine Yamal as a starter, saw how the Navarrese began to win the duels, being comfortable thanks to their intensity.

Areso warned with a cross shot that miraculously missed the goal.

Anticipating Cubarsí, Ante Budimir headed in Bryan Zaragoza’s great cross to make it 1-0 in the 18th minute. The solid local defense prevented Barcelona from finishing on goal in the first 45 minutes. The highest scoring team in the competition was blocked.

Party in Pamplona

Sadar burst with the second goal of the night that made things very difficult for their team. A precise pass from Pablo Ibáñez was collected by Bryan.

The man from Malaga drove into the area to step on the ball in front of Iñaki Peña, dribble past the goalkeeper and score the second.

Pedri and company could not find clear passing lines, being sold on isolated plays without real danger. Pablo Ibáñez almost made it 3-0 with a volley from the far post that he did not execute perfectly.

With no changes in either squad at the beginning of the second half, events happened quickly. Lewandowski had the clearest chance, but he ran into Sergio Herrera, a sad protagonist seconds later.

Miranda de Ebro’s goalkeeper started in too much of a hurry, serving a bad pass for Areso. Barcelona stole and Pau Víctor, from distance, scored his first goal in the top category to close the gap. The meeting was opened since then.

Herrera Paradon

Herrera, in his saving version, stopped Ferran’s right hand with an Osasuna that did not give up expanding the advantage. So much so that an extraordinary ride by Areso, on a recently entered Balde, ended with Budimir 3-1. The Croatian was brought down inside the area by Sergi Domínguez. Run and goal from 11 meters.

Abel Bretones received the ball on the edge of the area to hit a strong shot that hit the right post. The win was made up by Lamine Yamal with a trademark left foot.

Osasuna continued to do its thing to remain undefeated in El Sadar, achieving a very prestigious victory against the leader, thanks to an exercise of courage and personality.
