Barcelona will have to make an important decision this summer on whether to sign Adama Traore or keep Ousmane Dembele, given that the two’s persistence in the squad puts pressure on the club’s coffers.
Dembele’s contract expires next June, and Barca tried to renew his contract before 2022, but no agreement might be reached. The player does not want to leave and is waiting for an offer from the club to renew, which means that the cost is zero.
As for Traore’s situation, it is different because he is loaned from Wolverhampton, and Barcelona has the right to final purchase for 30 million euros, which is not a simple amount for the Blaugrana in this period.
But the Traore deal may change its features due to Wolfs’ interest in the player Trincao, and Barcelona may achieve a positive margin from the outcome of the two deals in his favour, according to the Spanish newspaper Marca on Tuesday.
