Barcelona announced today, Thursday, that its Spanish defender, Oscar Mingueza, has contracted the Corona virus.
Barcelona confirmed, in a statement on the official website, that Mingueza is “in good health” and will miss the team’s next match once morest Real Mallorca in the 34th round of the Spanish League “La Liga”.
Mingueza’s injury puts coach Xavi in a difficult situation, with the possible absence of Gerard Pique due to muscle pain, in addition to Sergino Dest and Samuel Umtiti injured.
It is noteworthy that Barcelona is in second place in the Spanish League “La Liga” with 63 points, and is 15 points behind Real Madrid, the leaders.
