Barcelona congratulated its rivals Real Madrid after winning the Spanish Super Cup at the expense of Athletic Bilbao, on Sunday evening.
Real Madrid beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in the Spanish Super Final, at King Fahd Stadium in Saudi Arabia.
And through his official account on “Twitter”, Barcelona tweeted: “Congratulations Real Madrid for the Spanish Super Cup.”
Real Madrid beat Barcelona in the semi-finals 3-2 to reach the final against Bilbao, which eliminated La Liga champion Atletico Madrid.
This is the twelfth time that Real Madrid has been crowned the Spanish Super Cup in its history, and the first in two years, when it won the title in the 2019/2020 season.
