A goal from Vitor Roque in the second half gave Barcelona three points this Wednesday in the postponed Spanish LaLiga match against Osasuna (1-0) that was played at the Lluís Companys Olympic Stadium.
The goal came in the 63rd minute, after a collective play that culminated in a header from the Brazilian attacker following a pass from Joao Cancelo and just one minute after entering the field.
As if that were not enough, Osasuna would be left with one man less just four minutes after Barça’s goal after the expulsion of Unai García.
Despite playing more than 25 minutes with one less player, Jagoba Arrasate’s men, who have gone four months without winning away from home, did not falter and were close to equalizing with two clear chances from Raúl García and Moncayola.
With the victory, Barcelona partially climbs to third place in LaLiga, pending the match played this Wednesday between Atlético de Madrid and Rayo Vallecano. A victory for the ‘colchoneros’ would return the culés to fourth place.
Osasuna, for its part, will face Celta de Vigo and hopes for a victory to move up the table since it remained stuck in 12th place with the defeat against Barça.
