The film “Barbie” has already grossed more than one billion dollars at the box office worldwide since its premiere around two weeks ago.
A subsidiary of the Warner Bros. Discovery media group announced on Sunday that tickets for the strip regarding Mattel star Barbie had sold for $459 million in US cinemas and $572 million overseas. This brings “Barbie” to a total of 1.0315 billion dollars so far. As sales directors, they’re not often speechless regarding a film’s results, “but Barbillion has shattered even our most optimistic predictions,” said Warner executives Jeff Goldstein and Andrew Cripps.
Warner Bros Discovery shares gained 1.11 percent in NASDAQ trading to $14.13.
