Barbakua prepares to put Paraguayan meat on top at the World Barbecue Championship

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Chefs from the Barbakua team are preparing to participate in the World Barbecue Championship, this July 27 and 28 in Stuttgart, Germany. The barbecue team is currently the best positioned in South America.

In the last World Cup, held in Belgium in 2022, they ranked 11th, being the best South American country in the ranking.

The goal now is to reach the podium, following an outstanding performance at the Inter-American Championship in Costa Rica last November, where the team finished in fifth place.

The World BBQ Association tournament brings together teams from more than 100 countries. The Paraguayan delegation will travel to the German city on July 19 in preparation for the event.

During his visit to the Paraguay TV studios, Barbakua gave a sample of his grilling experience and talked more regarding the expectations for the new World edition, a competition in which Paraguay has already shown the potential of its meat and its culinary arts.

The team added chefs “Negro” Riveros and Maik Flaming to its ranks, who join Richard Gini Kent, José Torrijos, André Magon, Jimmy Benítez, Frank Smith and Federico Quesada.
