New Delhi: The Bar Council of India has sent a letter to Chief Justice DY Chandrachud demanding that the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram temple be given a day. Judges, lawyers and court staff have to attend the inauguration ceremony in Ayodhya and other related events in various parts of the country. Therefore, Bar Council Chairman and Senior Advocate of the Supreme Court Manan Kumar Mishra said in the letter that leave should be given.

Cases scheduled for urgent hearing on January 22 may be rescheduled or heard the next day. The letter has also been requested to be treated sympathetically.

More ‘India’ Front leaders have clarified that they will not attend the dedication ceremony at the Ayodhya Ram Temple on the same day. Sharad Pawar and Lalu Prasad Yadav replied to the temple trust that they were not involved in the dedication ceremony. The India Front has moved to respond in the same coin to the BJP, which is politicizing the Ayodhya Ram Temple consecration ceremony.

The ‘India’ front leaders had earlier announced that they would not attend the Ram temple ceremony in Ayodhya. But for many leaders, the invitation letter was issued to the leaders of the Ram Temple Trust after this. Arvind Kejriwal and Akhilesh Yadav, who received the letter, had earlier informed that they would not attend the function. NCP president Sharad Pawar, who received the latest invitation, also raised the same position and replied to temple trust president Champat Rai. In the reply letter, the NCP president stated that he shares in the joy of lakhs of devotees who come for the ceremony and will visit Ayodhya after the consecration ceremony. RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav also took the same stand.

Mamata Banerjee has also announced Sarva Dharma Rally as an alternative on the day of the dedication ceremony at Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
