Building on the momentum of 18 accomplished hotel and resort openings in the previous year, Banyan Group shows no signs of slowing down. In 2025, the group will unveil an additional 15 hotels and resorts alongside five new branded residences, further diversifying its exceptional portfolio.

Among the highly anticipated openings is the Mandai Rainforest Resort in Singapore, offering a unique nature-inspired experience amidst the Mandai Wildlife reserve. Adventure seekers can immerse themselves in Tanzania’s Ruaha National Park at Ubuyu,a Banyan Tree Escape. Bangkok will also welcome the group’s first standalone precinct, boasting a dynamic mix of hotels, dining, spa facilities, and nightlife.

The expansion extends across Asia,with new properties in Zhuhai,Busan,Jeju,and Cebu,while Cassia Punta Cana in the Dominican republic will mark the group’s entry into the Caribbean.

Adding to its retail presence, Banyan Tree Gallery products will soon be available on Emirates and EVA Air flights, starting in 2025.

Chef Renu: Thank you! It’s truly an honor to be part of this incredible journey. When I joined Banyan Group two decades ago, I never imagined I woudl witness such growth and transformation. The opening of the 100th resort is a testament to the group’s vision and commitment to excellence. It’s inspiring to see how far we’ve come, from our roots in Asia to now expanding into destinations like Tanzania and the Dominican Republic.


Archyde: Banyan Group is known for its commitment to sustainability and luxury. How does this philosophy translate into your culinary creations at Saffron Kitchen?

Chef renu: sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. At Saffron Kitchen, we focus on sourcing local, organic ingredients and working closely with farmers and producers who share our values. Such as, we use herbs and vegetables grown in our own gardens, reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring the freshest flavors for our guests.

Luxury, to me, is not just about opulence but about creating meaningful experiences. Our dishes tell a story—whether it’s through traditional Thai recipes passed down through generations or innovative techniques that highlight the natural beauty of our ingredients.

In Tanzania, the Ruaha National Park resort offers an possibility to connect with local communities and learn about their culinary traditions. It’s a chance to create dishes that are not only flavorful but also deeply rooted in the region’s heritage. This global expansion is enriching our culinary identity,making it more diverse and inclusive.
