Banten Provincial Government to Give IDR 250 Million to Rizky Juniansyah

The Banten Provincial Government (Pemprov) is ready to provide kadeudeuh money or a bonus of IDR 250 million to the gold medal-winning weightlifting athlete at the 2024 Paris Olympics from Serang City, Rizki Juniansyah.

“It will be handed over during the Banten Province Anniversary celebration in October 2024,” said Head of the Banten Province Youth and Sports Service, Ahmad Syaukani, as reported by Antara, Tuesday (27/8).

He said that the kadeudeuh money was budgeted through the Revised Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) of Banten Province for the 2024 fiscal year.

Ahmad explained that giving bonuses to Olympic medal winners was the authority of the central government, but the Banten Provincial Government decided to still give kadeudeuh money to Rizki.

“Because the Olympics are not the region’s authority, but we give awards,” said Ahmad.

Rizki was also promised to get kadeuhdeuh money if he won gold at the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra PON. “Double, because it is also prepared at PON,” said Ahmad.

According to him, the kadeudeuh money for the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra PON is the same as what will be given to Rizki. “It’s the same because our SSH (Standard Unit Price) is the highest,” said Ahmad.

Acting Governor of Banten Al Muktabar hopes that Banten athletes will achieve satisfactory results at the 2024 Aceh-North Sumatra PON.

“Hope and pray together, please also support all Banten residents to get the best achievements for Banten,” said Al Muktabar after releasing the Banten contingent for the 2024 PON.

He reminded KONI Banten Province to prepare athletes as well as possible because the Banten Provincial Government has provided budget support to KONI Banten Province. (Z-6)
