Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, confirmed that the Central Bank of Egypt’s decision to issue rules for licensing and registering digital banks, as well as monitoring and supervising them, is an excellent step and comes on the right path towards enhancing financial inclusion and building a competitive digital economy in line with the implementation of Egypt’s digital strategy and the expansion of financial technology and the use of Digital solutions in providing financial services.
Akef El-Maghraby, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Misr Digital Innovation Company – said in a statement today – “Our preparation for this step began early by establishing the Misr Digital Innovation Company affiliated with Banque Misr, which is responsible for launching the first digital bank in Egypt, in order to provide Electronic banking services and an unprecedented and powerful banking experience, in addition to creating alternative channels to provide banking services in an easier and more advanced way, as well as attracting new segments of customers, especially young people, which is a qualitative and major leap in the banking services provided by Banque Misr, the pioneer of banking services in Egypt. and the Arab region.
