Banker among the most promising, Iqbal Khan takes a step towards the direction of UBS

He was already seen as one of the most promising Swiss bankers. The idea that Iqbal Khan, 46, is a possible successor to Ralph Hamers at the head of UBS is further reinforced by the bank’s announcement on Tuesday evening: he will now lead the world leader’s wealth management alone in this area, further emphasizing that he is a key man in the bank. Until now, he shared this position with Tom Naratil, who will leave UBS in October, following thirty-nine years in the first Swiss bank. However, nothing indicates that Ralph Hamers, in office for less than two years, is regarding to leave.
