As reported by the Central Bank of the Argentine Republic (BCRA), Bank branches throughout the country will not operate this Monday to serve the public due to the celebration of Bank Worker’s Day, which has the status of “non-working”.

Within the framework of the festival, The clearinghouses will not operate either. that act in the settlement and clearing of operations, the banking authority said in a statement. Along these lines, those operations that expire on Monday will be settled the following day, Tuesday, November 7.

The measure affects all financial entities in the country, for which public and private banks throughout Argentine territory will operate in a reduced manner. In that sense, banks will be closed and there will be no customer service in financial institutions throughout the country.

However, on Monday electronic media will be enabled such as ATMs and home banking, as well as digital payment systems: wallets, debit and credit cards and transfer payments, the BCRA highlighted.

This Monday, electronic media and digital payment systems will be enabled.

For that reason, The following banking operations can be carried out:

-Operations in ATMs and self-service terminals.

-Cash deposits and withdrawals, and credit card payments.

-Electronic payments for services, although the first subsequent business day will be taken as the payment date.

-Use of home banking and bank applications.

-Cash withdrawals in supermarkets and pharmacies.

As indicated by the BCRA on its official website, “the Constitution of the Banking Association was celebrated in 1924 and, since then, the Collective Convention stipulates in its article 50: ‘Instituted as ‘Banking Day’ on November 6 of each year , governing for that date the rules established for national holidays“.
